How does it work?

Aesthetic gum treatment can repair a lack of gum tissue through tissue sculpting or extend the tooth with crown lengthening. These two procedures are recommended for patients to improve the appearance of their smiles with minimally invasive techniques. Tissue sculpting is performed using a minimally invasive microsurgical technique. Dentist repairs gum recession often without the need for a tissue graft. Crown lengthening exposes more of the tooth for patients who have a gummy smile. What is gum contouring?

After Care

After the surgery, you should take a day or two off. Limit your activities as much as possible. Your gums will take some weeks to heal, but that does not mean you should just stay home without going to work. You can get back to work as soon as a day or two.

Your dentist will give you some instructions to follow during the healing time. Ensure to follow them seriously. These tips can help you reduce the discomfort associated with the surgery.

Take the painkillers as prescribed by your dentist. Don't apply aspirin on the gums, thinking it will reduce the pain because it can't. It will only make things worse.

Eat foods such as pasta, cottage, yogurt, ice cream, and other soft foods. Avoid foods with lots of spice or hard foods until your gums heal.Follow your dentist's techniques for brushing teeth.
